Using the information we covered yesterday about author's purpose (to inform, to entertain, or to persuade), choose a topic to write about.
Next month if you will be taking the English I STAAR test, you will write an EXPOSITORY essay. If you will be taking the English II STAAR test, you will write a PERSUASIVE essay.
Use today to brainstorm and prewrite.
You will do the rough draft in class tomorrow with the sub.
