    Week 1, Day 3
    Objective: Reading Comprehension and building stamina.
    1. Announcements:
      1. Pep Rally schedule tomorrow.  
        1. Circus theme
        2. Pep Rallies are now in the afternoon at 3:20pm.
      2. Class Meetings today
        1. 1st period-Juniors
        2. 2nd period-Freshmen
        3. 3rd period-Sophomores
        4. 6th period-Seniors
      3. Please have your supplies by Monday.  If you have trouble getting them, please let me know privately.
      4. No School for students on Friday.
      5. STAAR/EOC English Retest will take place during the first week in December.
    2. Read
      1. Find a book to borrow from my shelf or go to the library to check out a book.  
      2. The more you read, the better you will be at writing and reading.  Practice, practice, practice.  
      3. Don't just go through the motions.  Actually READ the book.
      4. I can definitely make some suggestions, if you would like.

      Objective: Discuss classroom expectations, policies, and procedures.  Learn proper use and care of Chrome Books.  

      1. Bell Work: Wait for directions.
      2. Folders-this is where the work for this class will be kept.  After I write your name on it, you must color it...decorate it...make it YOURS!  These will stay in class.
      3. Supplies
        1. Please have them by Monday.
        2. 1 subject spiral notebook (PLEASE do NOT get a multi-subject spiral for this class!)
        3. Blue or black ink pens (we WILL NOT use pencil in this class!!!!!!!)
        4. Other colored pens for grading
        5. personal headphones
        6. wireless mouse (optional!)
      4. Blog!
        1. Read all of it!  
        2. Don't just skim!
        3. There is a ton of imporant information on here! 
        4. I REALLY don't like to repeat myself over, and over, and over, and over...
      5. Technology
        1. Sometimes it will work, sometimes it won't.
        2. Be flexible.
        3. Collaborate with each other.
        4. Help each other.
        5. I do not know everything and I will not pretend like I do.  There are many things that we will learn together.
